This is for the moments in between-the hush before dinner, the last of the sun, the stillness of socks and linens swaying in the breeze. Linen & Light No. 2 is the second piece in my Romanticize the Laundry collection, a pastel painting born from the quiet rituals of caring for the people we love.
There’s something tender about hanging your family’s laundry. The repetition. The touch. The sky above. What once felt mundane begins to glisten with presence-turning ordinary clotheslines into poetry.
In this piece, soft golden light wraps around worn garments, suspended mid-air beneath a moody, cloud-filled sky. Mauves, creams, and faded crimson echo the romance of dusk. It’s a painting of domesticity, yes-but more than that, it’s about slowing down enough to see the beauty in it.
