The song that was playing when I had an “A-ha!” moment while painting this: “From Gold” by Novo Amor
This wonderful idea suddenly popped into my head during my invigorating run with my adorable doggies. The word that came to my mind, seemingly out of nowhere, was Existence. Intrigued, I decided to google search that meaningful word and found definitions like “continued survival” and “way of living.” As I reflected on these definitions, I realized that my existence right now feels distinctly like being in survival mode. However, despite this feeling, my way of living is profoundly fueled by my faith in God, the wonderful people in my small, close-knit world, and the beautiful nature that surrounds me daily. I am grateful for the ability of my body to move, to workout, and to grow stronger every day. I cherish the incredible opportunity I have to create art, and to compose music that truly sets the mood for my life’s journey. Each day, I find myself always running towards that stunning sunset, while also taking a moment to appreciate the cold, rainy clouds brushing against my face along the way. It’s in those moments that my senses become heightened, and I truly feel alive. I sincerely hope you enjoy my piece entitled Existence.
